The Forest House, located in Gambrills, Maryland, sits on the edge of a forest conservation area and commands views deep into the forest, complemented by the sounds of a downhill stream on the property. The house is connected to the site through rain gardens, a geothermal system and passive solar strategies. The house utilizes a number of sustainable strategies including panelized construction, high performance glazing, and DC powered low voltage LED lighting powered over Ethernet.
